Went during the half term on a Monday afternoon as part of a stop off before going to the lakes. Decent sized car park, sign posted well and a great starting point for a lovely walk through to Arnside Tower. There are no facilities but you can stop off (depending on the direction of travel) at the Tesco in Carnforth for a toilet break and pick up snacks for the walk.
You know what...for a free car park with a nice walk or two, it ain't half bad. Sunday parking there is well annoying as the car park is way small.
Car park for walking in Eaves wood. It is a small car park only holds about 10 cars and get crowded at peak times. The road is narrow so if no room there are no other options. There is a path goes right over the the cove.
Small but free. Quite sheltered so great for keeping car cool in summer.
