Challenging course. Cheap and in great condition

Very clean toilets and well maintained site

Wonderful, beautiful, friendly, superb facilities and ridiculously cheap for all it offers!I have organized a group family camp every Midsummer to this wonderful campsite for the last 7 years and it is the highlight of the group's year. We either hire the private wooded area which is so magical or use the main field which is lovely too as provides even more space for the children to cycle and run around. The whole area is outstandingly beautiful - the ancient woodland and limestone cliffs, the stunning views across the bay, the wildlife, the really fresh, sea air and the fantastic sunsets. There are plenty of places for children to play in nature -a little cave to explore as well as the woods and coast (adult supervision needed for on the sands) and on bikes or ball games etc..- we have had mini sports days on the main field. There is also a gorgeous stone circle which we use for a Midsummer ceremony. The campsite has wonderful facilities which just keep on improving- this year there is a washing machine and tumble dryer which was invaluable when my tent leaked a little on a sleeping bag. The toilet block and showers are modern, warm and clean. The little shop is very handy for bits and bobs- food, camping essentials, etc.. and they refreeze your cool box blocks for you at a small fee. Also this year, the farm linked to the campsite is selling raw milk. The Stewards are friendly and helpful but are also very good at maintaining the rules of the campsite for the benefit of everyone.I highly recommend this campsite to everyone - a hidden gem in the heart of the Silverdale & Arnside Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - you are sure to have a magical holiday!. :)

Love this site. We are only 12 miles away bit still come over for a night or two each year. A quick walk either along the front or the lane to the Silverdale Hotel for a pint.Site facilities are good, clean and tidy

Visited this site with my husband who used to go here as a child. Was not disappointed.Lovely well maintained site. Spotless toilet and shower blocks. Staff very helpful. We had an issue with a very noisy tent full of women and children shouting and and cackling till early hrs of the morning 2 nights on the run, on reporting this to staff said party was dealt with very swiftly and they issued us with a free nights stay for use on our next visit for the inconvenience.Great place for children to explore and play.Would highly recommend this site to anyone.
