I don't think I've ever had such a bad meal for that price. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was for the cheesecake.
Had a gorgeous meal at Longlands. The steak was perfectly cooked and the wine was amazing. The service was impeccable and the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Longlands was recommended to us by friends and it didn't disappoint! We'll definitely be going back.
Went for a Christmas meal with group of people. As a vegetarian I had ordered the veg option. It was basically a dish of barley, sliced potatoes and carrots. There were 8 people on our table are were given 1 bowl of vegetables to share.. had 1 piece of broccoli and 1 Brussel sprout.The Christmas cracker had a paper clip as gift.I went to the hotel in the summer for a drink and ordered a cheese sandwich off the menu. 20 minutes later an embarrassed member of staff came to me with my money back as the chef refused to make it.I have written to the hotel about both incidents but never had a reply.
Unfortunate circumstances brought us to the longlands today for a funeral wake. But the food and drinks were amazing. Really was 5*, in my eyes it's the best place to eat in the south lakes. Bar staff are all nice and friendly and always happy to help. I would recommend this to anyone in any type of group.
A great pub/restaurant. We recently visited whilst on holiday in Cumbria, this Inn was located close to our holiday apartments. The restaurant is currently ingoing renovation but that did not tarnish our experience or hurt the ambiance. The hosts were friendly and welcomed us and our young children. The food was gorgeous, freshly prepared and very well cooked and presented. We discovered it was in fact a sister pub to others in the local area, one we had visited earlier in the week, the New Inn. I would highly recommend a visit to this establishment.
